A portion of the new build at King Edward VII Memorial was yesterday unveiled to the public.

Scaffolding and green debris netting at the northern end of the new acute wing was removed at the two highest stories.

Views of the new build can be seen from Point Finger Road.

“We will be taking down the scaffolding as we go,” said Richard Noel, the site project manager. “It won’t all come down at once. As we complete work in the section where scaffolding was needed, we will remove it.

The Acute Care Wing construction remains on time for handover next spring. The project remains on budget.
