Rubber duck cleaners wanted

Friends of Hospice is looking for volunteers to help clean up their rubber duckies following the annual fundraising event held on June 2 at Ordnance Island.

Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older and groups of two or more are invited to sign up to help sort out the lead players in the Rubber Duck Derby.

Friends of Hospice is the charity supporting Agape House and hospice care in Bermuda. The charitable group partners with Belco to raise funds annually through the popular event.

Funds from past derbies have been used to fund a full-time chef, support bereavement services, purchase medical equipment, medication and fund ongoing infrastructure improvements to Agape House.

To lend a helping hand for a few hours, contact executive director Sarah Dunstan at 232-0859 or e-mail sarah.dunstan@bhb.bm.
