Imagine Bermuda hopes to celebrate the 54th anniversary of desegregation in Bermuda by bringing the Island closer together.On July 2, the community group is hosting the “B 2 Gather” event at Queen Elizabeth Park. They hope the event will bring together people who don’t know each other well to build relationships.Imagine Bermuda’s Glen Fubler said: “July 2, 1959 marked a new beginning in Bermuda’s history. We are inviting the community to join the observance of this important anniversary.“This is an opportunity to reflect on this shared heritage with a view to making a better Bermuda today.”The event will take place between 12.30pm and 1.30pm.
