Imagine Bermuda celebrates desegregation anniversary

Imagine Bermuda hopes to celebrate the 54th anniversary of desegregation in Bermuda by bringing the Island closer together.

On July 2, the community group is hosting the “B 2 Gather” event at Queen Elizabeth Park. They hope the event will bring together people who don’t know each other well to build relationships.

Imagine Bermuda’s Glen Fubler said: “July 2, 1959 marked a new beginning in Bermuda’s history. We are inviting the community to join the observance of this important anniversary.

“This is an opportunity to reflect on this shared heritage with a view to making a better Bermuda today.”

The event will take place between 12.30pm and 1.30pm.
