Cocktails cancelled

The City of Hamilton is to host a cocktail party in town tonight, but two further events have been cancelled due to a lack of interest.

The ‘Tales of Cocktails: Island Cocktails’ event was intended to be a fun opportunity for residents and visitors to mingle on the lawn at City Hall.

However, low turnout has seen parties in August and September pulled from the calendar. “It seemed like any cocktail party, any happy hour, we weren’t getting up take,” said councillor Troy Symonds.
