Rider injured in morning crash

A 25-year-old Devonshire man is recovering after being involved in a two-vehicle collision yesterday morning on Harrington Sound Road in Hamilton Parish.

The collision happened around 8.15am near the junction with Quarry Road, when Michael Muhammad was riding his motorcycle along Harrington Sound Road as a car exited from a driveway.

The vehicles collided and Mr Muhammad was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. He was later released after treatment.

Both vehicles involved in the collision were damaged, the motorcycle extensively. Traffic was temporarily diverted away from the scene.

Inquiries into this collision are ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact PC Romeo Allen on 295-0011.
