Road closures planned in Hamilton

Parts of Court Street will be closed to traffic in order that road works can be completed.Workers started paving from Front Street through to the Reid Street intersection last night, a City of Hamilton spokeswoman said.“The southbound lane on Court Street at Church Street will be closed while this work is taking place,” she added. “Reid Street from King Street will be open for local shopping traffic access only with one lane open through the Court Street intersection.”The work will continue through tomorrow, the spokeswoman said.“All affected roads will reopen on Monday morning and remain open all day, closing again on Monday at 7pm for the final topcoat of asphalt.”The top level of Par-la-Ville Car Park was closed all day yesterday; the entire facility will close today from 2pm.“Portions of the car park will be closed on July 29 and July 30,” the spokeswoman continued. “The whole car park will be closed on Wednesday for the entire day. These closures are necessary for a concert which will be taking place on July 31.”Meanwhile, Church Street between Wesley Street and Par-la-Ville Road will be closed from 6pm on Wednesday to 2am on Thursday.
