Family Centre to hold Cup Match tag day

Family Centre will on Wednesday hold its traditional Cup Match tag day — offering Somerset or St George’s ribbons to those donating. This year, there will be an added twist, as volunteers at four mystery tag stations labelled “Special Stations” will have a chance to win $200.The general area of those stations will be revealed today at Cabinet House at 2.30pm when Premier Craig Cannonier will be joined by the Somerset and St George’s team captains to receive his Family Centre Cup Match Tag Day ribbon. The winning stations will be announced on Wednesday, and winners will be contacted. The tag day’s title sponsor is Capital G, which has partnered with the Family Centre since 2001.Martha Dismont, executive director of Family Centre said: “Family Centre provided support to more than 600 families in 2012. We are preventing problems through our work with children and families in the community but we need everyone in Bermuda to support our cause.”The charity is seeking volunteers for its tag stations across the Island. Anyone wishing to help should call 232-1116.
