Double the fun for sports fans

Bermuda CableVision will launch a new 24-hour sports channel, SportsMax2, in a week's time.

The channel, courtesy of Caribbean broadcaster SportsMax, covers cricket and football, plus track and field, tennis, golf, and high-school and live sports.

It will run on CableVision Channel 351 from August 15, displacing Fox Soccer Plus — which is moving to Channel 53 as part of the Super Tier. CableVision's MaxPak package will include SportsMax and SportsMax2 from that date.

The launch comes “just in time for the Barclays Premier League matches”, CableVision General Manager Terry Roberson said. The Premier League kicks off on August 17.

The expanded SportsMax offering will enable more live broadcasting, according to SportsMax Caribbean marketing manager Tanya Lee.
