Royal Caribbean seeks Bermuda entertainers
A search is on for local entertainers interested in performing on-board Royal Caribbean cruise ships.
Auditions for musicians, comedians, actors and magicians will be held at Chewstick Lounge between 6pm and 9pm tomorrow — Bermudians, spouses of Bermudians, permanent resident certificate holders and persons with Bermuda status are all eligible to attend.
Successful persons will be asked to perform while Royal Caribbean cruise ships are in port during this and next year's cruise ship season.
“Entertainers will be given a maximum of five minutes to perform in front of local judges including representatives from Bermuda Federation Musicians and Variety Artist, Bermuda Department of Tourism and two local entertainers,” a spokeswoman said.
“Participants must bring their entertainment resume and photograph to the audition. Backline equipment will be provided for musicians. However, they will be required to bring all electronic equipment as required.”
Successful entertainers will then be asked to perform in front of Royal Caribbean executives at Fairmont Hamilton Princess on Thursday.
