Have you lost this turtle?
Call it an eMoo post of a different kind, but if you happen to be missing a very large Red-Eared Slider turtle you may want to go online.
Posted by a woman by the name of Miriam, there's an appeal for the owner of the household pet to make their claim.
She found the turtle wandering up Weather Vane Lane on Portland Square in Sandys and rescued it just in time before it was “squished” by a passing vehicle.
According to the post, the turtle was covered in sand and very hungry when rescued. “If you are missing your pet turtle please call me to come and collect him or her.
“I do not want to have him (her) delivered to the vet to be euthanised as I can only look after him for a short time,” she said.
“He really needs a very big back yard pond to swim in and will not be dumped in a local wild life pond as they are not indigenous to Bermuda.”
She's trying to reconnect the reptile with its rightful owner, who is urged to call 234-2021 or 335-3653.
