The 2013 Gombey Festival will take place today at the W.E.R. Joell Tennis Stadium at 5:30-9:30 p.m.Minister of Community, Culture and Sport, the Hon. R. Wayne Scott will open the event.Meanwhile, the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs is hosting a student researcher from Tokyo, Japan, Azusa Maruyama. She is on-island to conduct research and interviews with Bermuda Gombey Troupes for her thesis.Ms. Maruyama is studying Musicology and in her senior year at Tokyo University of the Arts.
