Morning rush hour traffic encountered lengthy delays as a result of a two car collision on Spanish Point Road in Pembroke.The accident happened near the junction with Clarence Dale Road around 8.30am on Monday.A police spokesman said: “The driver and passenger of one vehicle, as well as the driver of the other vehicle involved, all sustained minor injuries”.He said no other injuries were reported.“Traffic was initially diverted away from the scene, causing some delays in the area. However, normal traffic flow subsequently resumed,” he added.Police redirected traffic through Cheriton Lane and St John’s Hill, which caused further delays for public transport vehicles which were too big to manoeuvre through the narrow route.
