Three-vehicle accident causes minor injuries

A three-vehicle collision on South Road inconvenienced motorists, but only caused minor injuries according to police.

A police spokesman said that at around 8am on Wednesday, officers and first responders attended the scene of a crash near the junction of Windgap Lane in Paget.

The police spokesman said: “It appears that two cars were being driven along South Road when an auxiliary cycle being ridden along the same road collided with both vehicles.

“As a result the auxiliary cycle rider, an 18-year-old Pembroke man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. Apparently he was later discharged. There were no other injuries reported.”

Traffic travelling through the area was temporarily delayed in the aftermath of the collision, which is still being investigated by police.
