Third woman arrested after reported assault

A third woman has been arrested in connection with a reported assault involving a bladed article over the weekend.

A 26-year-old woman was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment following the incident, which took place on Saturday around 10pm near Ducks Puddle Drive, Hamilton Parish.

At last check she was in stable condition on a general ward.

Police earlier reported that two St George’s women, aged 22 and 25 years old respectively, were arrested following the incident. They remain in custody with a court appearance anticipated in due course.

A spokesman today reported that a second 22-year-old St George’s woman was also arrested in connection with the matter and released on police bail.

“Detectives continue to investigate this incident and encourage witnesses or anyone that may have seen any suspicious activity in the Ducks Puddle Drive, Hamilton Parish area around 10pm Saturday to contact the St George’s Criminal Investigation Unit on 293-2222,” the spokesman said.
