The final report from the Spending and Government Efficiency (SAGE) Commission will go public for the first time after it is tabled in today’s session of the House of Assembly.

The document is the culmination of months of meetings with representatives across the public and private sectors by the Commission’s various committees. Their final report, presented last month to Finance Minister Bob Richards, offers recommendations for governmental reform.

MPs will also hear the Opposition’s reply to last week’s Throne Speech.

Four Ministerial statements are expected from Health Minister Patricia Gordon-Pamplin, and legislation amending the Bermuda Immigration and Protection Act of 1956 is expected.

The amendments, cited in the Throne Speech, will lay out a means of obtaining Bermuda status for persons born in Bermuda, or for those adopted by Bermudian parents.
