Police continue fatal crash probe

Police are continuing to investigate the collision that claimed the life of 24 year old Uthmani Talbot in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Of particular interest, said a Police spokesman, is the driver of a car that stopped at the scene to assist those that initially provided first aid to Mr Talbot.

Any other persons who can assist in the investigation should contact Constable James Eli at the Roads Policing Unit on 247-1139 or via e-mail jeli@bps.bm.

Talbot was a former Berkeley Institute head boy and a member of the X-Roads football team.

Meanwhile, police are also appealing for witnesses to a two-vehicle collision that happened around 6.30pm on Monday, near the Brighton Hill Road junction on South Road, Devonshire.

“It appears that a motorcycle was being ridden along South Road and a car was exiting the Ariel Sands property when the vehicles collided,” said a spokesman.

The injured motorcyclist, a 39 year old Sandys parish man, was taken to hospital for treatment.

Witnesses are encouraged to contact PC Nicole Outerbridge on 295-0011.
