Appeal for witnesses to road collisions

Police are seeking public assistance as they investigate two serious traffic collisions, including the one which took the life of Nikko Robinson-Woodley.

Mr Robinson-Woodley, 21, died after the vehicle he was travelling in along Harrington Sound Road struck a tree east of the junction with and Paynter’s Road in Hamilton Parish in the early hours of Saturday.

A 23-year-old Smith’s man was seriously injured in the same crash. As of yesterday afternoon, he was in stable condition at King Edward VII Memorial Hospitals’ Intensive Care Unit.

Police are asking that anyone who saw collision, or who has information about whereabouts of Mr Robinson-Woodley in the hours before the crash, contact PC Roger Fox at the Roads Policing Unit on 295-0011.

Police are also appealing for witnesses to a three-vehicle collision which took place at around 3pm on Monday on North Shore Road, Hamilton Parish, involving two motorcycles and a car.

An 18-year-old Hamilton Parish man and a 19-year-old Smith’s man were injured in the collision. The younger of the two has been treated and discharged, but the other remained in hospital yesterday with non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone with information about this collision is urged to contact PC Deforest Evans at Southside Police Station on 293-2222.
