Two arrested after attack on teen

A Warwick teenager was taken to hospital with a serious hand injury after he was attacked by two men brandishing what Police have described as a “branded article”.

The attack happened around 10pm on Saturday in the Hermitage Road, Devonshire area.

The 15 year-old was treated for the hand injury as well as a laceration to the neck.

Two Devonshire men, a 29 year-old and a 27 year-old, have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in police custody pending further inquiries.

Detectives are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information regarding the assault to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
