Man injured in road crash

A Smith’s man was injured on Sunday in a two-car collision at the junction of Knapton Hill and Harrington Hundred’s Road.

“One of the drivers, a 59-year-old Smith’s man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment,” said a Police spokesman. “At last check he was recovering in stable condition on a general ward. There were no other injuries reported.”

Both vehicles and a wall were damaged in the crash, and officers were forced to divert traffic from the area briefly after the crash.

Anyone with information about the collision is urged to call the police at 295-0011.
