Two injured in bike crash

Two men were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital following the accident

A motorcyclist was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a two-bike crash landed two men in hospital.

Police said one of the men involved in the accident, a 47-year-old Devonshire man, who is said to be “stable” at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, had been arrested.

The other biker involved in the accident, a 28-year-old St George’s man, was released from hospital after treatment for minor injuries.

The accident happened around 10pm yesterday at Blue Hole Hill, near the Swizzle Inn in Hamilton Parish.

The two bikes were being ridden along Blue Hole Hill when they collided.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
