Wright promoted to Deputy Commissioner

Assistant Police Commissioner Paul Wright has been promoted to Deputy Commissioner, effective May 12.

Governor George Fergusson commended Mr Wright for his 29 years' service in the Bermuda Police, adding that he had been “impressed by his professionalism and commitment” over the past two years of collaboration.

Candidates from the rank of Superintendent and above were fielded for the advertised post.

Mr Wright's career has emphasised the intelligence and serious crime departments, with responsibility for community policing over the past three years.
