A father and son have been charged with assaulting another family member, the father’s eldest son, and causing him actual bodily harm.

Christopher Hollis, 50, and son Tristan, 17, both denied assaulting Mr Hollis’ eldest son, Franklin Hollis, on July 1 at Harlem Heights Road.

Tristan was charged separately with pointing a machete at his brother Franklin, while Christopher was charged with using threatening words, allegedly telling his son: “I’m going to kill you.”

The two denied all charges in Magistrates’ Court this morning.

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner released the men on $2,000 bail each, with one surety each.

They will be tried on October 8.
