Seniors face $10 entry charge

Seniors at to be charged $10 for entry to the two Cup Match days — because they asked to be.

The last two Somerset Cricket Club Cup Matches have seen seniors get in free.

But at a meeting earlier this year seniors asked to be charged entry.

Now they will pay half the normal $20 entrance to watch the game.

A spokeswoman for the club said seniors had raised the issue before, but the club in 2010 and 2012 did not make them pay an entry fee.

She added: “The seniors themselves requested this — they wanted to support the club.”

This year's Cup Match takes place in Somerset.
