Bike crash man ‘stable’

A 70-year-old man injured in a crash on Tuesday is said to be in stable condition at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

The motorcyclist has remained in hospital since a collision with a van on Middle Road, Southampton, near Jews Bay, and is expected to be transferred to a general ward later today.

Meanwhile, a 39-year-old woman injured in yesterday’s 8.50am crash on Parsons Road, Pembroke, near the junction with Deepdale Road West, was reportedly discharged from hospital.

The woman was the sole person hurt after her motorcycle and a car collided at about 8.50am.

The collision remains under investigation, and witnesses are asked to contact Pc Emmanuel Fodeliankis at 247-1704.
