Hurricane Watch in effect

A Hurricane Watch is now in effect as Tropical Storm Fay nears Bermuda, according to the Bermuda Weather Service.

However, Fay’s approach has thus far led to no diversions for cruise ships, Bermuda Maritime Operations said.

It was reported this afternoon that the ship Explorer of the Seas left Bermuda at its scheduled 3pm.

At present, the Norwegian Dawn and the Grandeur of the Seas are to call on Bermuda as expected tomorrow.

The Dawn is scheduled to arrive at the pilot station at 9am, while the Grandeur is down to arrive at 1.15pm. Events overnight could affect both vessels, however.
