Work to begin on North Shore Road roundabout

A roundabout is to be built at the junction of Blackwatch Pass and North Shore Road.

The job will start with the removal and transplanting of about 25 palm trees from the northwest corner of the Government House grounds.

A temporary barrier will be raised to fence the work area off from the rest of the grounds. Work will then start on the roundabout, which is expected to be finished in March 2015.

The job will include the construction of a boundary wall and excavation of land on Government House property.

Apologising for any inconvenience caused, Public Works advised motorists to use extra caution when driving through the stretch of road.
