Man denies unlawfully obtaining debit card

A St George’s man has denied unlawfully obtaining a debit card and using it to purchase alcohol.

Daeshon Warner, 18, pleaded not guilty in Magistrate’s Court this morning to one charge of obtaining a bank card belonging to Bradley Mitchell, and attempting to pass this off as his uncle’s in order to purchase alcohol worth $23 from Churchill’s, St George’s.

He also denied a second charge of actually purchasing the alcohol, worth $22.25, using the bank card at Churchill’s on that day.

Both offences allegedly occurred on September 28.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo adjourned the matter until next year for trial, releasing Mr Warner on $2,000 bail with a surety of the same value.
