Health team helps struggling families
Healthcare workers have gone without a Christmas party to provide turkeys to struggling families.
Employees of Bermuda Healthcare Services (BHCS) handed out nearly 200 birds during their annual turkey giveaway on Saturday.
This is the third year BHCS has organised the event to help the community.
This year the team partnered with Inter-Island Communications to identify 100 recipients, with the remainder given to patients of Bermuda Healthcare Services and Brown-Darrell Clinic.
Founder and executive chair, Dr Ewart Brown, said: “It is a very special pleasure to give back to our community especially at the holiday season.
“Together with Inter-Island Communications we have helped to make Christmas a bit brighter and a bit less stressful for families.
“Whether through our annual turkey giveaway, sponsorship of elite Bermudian athletes, our support of PHC or our scholarships to medical students, it is our intention to support our community and through our example encourage wider corporate support for the people of Bermuda.”
