Sorority collects 400 presents for families

More than 400 Christmas gifts for families have been collected by the Bermuda chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

The groups partnered with Phoenix Stores and Brown and Co for the initiative, which had members stationed at the stores during late-night shopping.

Gift donations were handed in for children between the ages of two and 17, along with presents for seniors. Wrapped gifts went to community organisations including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Child and Family Services, Delta Pantry recipients, Mid Atlantic Wellness Institute, Elder Care Rest Home, and Sunnyvale Seniors Home.

Cindy Weeks, the first vice president for the local chapter, thanked the stores, the shoppers, and Fresh TV for their help.
