Generosity from across the community led to an outpouring in contributions of more than $14,000 for the Lady Cubitt Compassionate Association.

The charity takes care of those with medical, financial or emotional need, with particular compassion for the elderly and children.

The LCCA’s annual tag day on September 19 resulted in donations totalling $14,223 to go toward its General Assistance programme, prompting the association to thank its volunteers and supporters.

“We especially thank each and every member of our community who generously donated to us on this day, in spite of the economic challenges that we are all experiencing at this time,” said Veronica Harvey, executive director for the LCCA.
