Police have confirmed that gunshots were fired in Sandys tonight.

“Around 9:40pm on Tuesday, January 13th police responded to reports of gunshots in the Heath Lane, Sandys parish area off Sound View Road,” a Police statement said.

“Forensic evidence collected at the scene confirmed that a firearm had been discharged; however there have been no reported injuries at this time.

“Inquiries are ongoing and any witnesses or persons with information regarding this confirmed firearm incident should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477.”
