Improving safety standards on the water

The Water Safety Council is launching a new online exam to improve safety standards on the water.

The council is hoping to roll out the exam, which will contain about 45 questions, in May. The questions will focus on a range of practical maritime skills.

Those who complete the new test will be presented with a certificate and will be eligible for a ten per cent discount on their marine insurance.
