Injured boy discharged from hospital

A seven-year-old boy who was injured in a collision with a car has been discharged from hospital.

The Pembroke boy was injured at about 6pm yesterday on Berkeley Road in Pembroke near the junction with St John’s Road.

The young cyclist was treated at the scene by Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service personnel before being taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital by ambulance for further medical assessment.

He was later discharged.

There were no other injuries reported, but both vehicles were damaged.

Inquiries into this collision are continuing and any witnesses should contact Pc Kalvilicia Joell at the Hamilton Police Station on 247-1704.
