Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to an aircraft emergency at the LF Wade International Airport after a private jet was forced to divert to the Island because of engine trouble.

The jet’s flight plan is not known at this time but BFRS responded with seven appliances and ten personnel. “At 4.06pm, a Falcon 900 private jet with 13 passengers on board diverted to Bermuda once the pilot indicated an in flight emergency,” BFRS spokesman Sergeant Jamal Albuoy said. “Watch commander David DeCouto confirmed one engine out due to oil pressure. The aircraft landed safely at 4.31pm and BFRS provided assistance to the crew on the ground.”
