PLP MPs help clean up rest home

All together now: Many hands make light work – that was the thinking as the PLP’s Sandys branches helped in a big clean-up at the Packwood Home on Saturday. Pictured, from the left, are MPs Jamahl Simmons, Dennis Lister, also below, Kim Wilson and Michael Scott

Volunteers and Progressive Labour Party MPs joined forces this weekend to clean up the area around a West End rest home.

Jamahl Simmons, Kim Wilson, Michael Scott and Dennis Lister joined members of the public in a Community Clean-Up Day at the Packwood Home, organised by the party’s Sandys branches.

Mr Simmons said: “The PLP Sandys Branches are grateful for the support and hard work that went into making this clean-up day a success. We thank the volunteers for sacrificing their Saturday morning to help make the lives of our seniors at the Packwood Home a little brighter.”
