Groups combine to help students

Gina Spence Productions has joined forces with Gibbons Company again to provide children with school uniforms for the start of the new school year.

Under the initiative anyone who donates school clothes that have been “gently used” gets a 20 per cent discount on selected school items.

Collection bins will be placed throughout the Gibbons children's department and volunteers from Gina Spence Productions will hand out the second hand uniforms to families in need on August 29 between 11am and 6pm.

A statement released by Gina Spence Productions said: “We are asking people to make donations to Back To School Campaign account # 010-411486-001.

“To nominate a child in need of school uniforms go online to gspic.org or go to Gibbons children's department to complete the form.”

Last year the back to school drive received more than 800 school clothing items and assisted other charities and families across the Island.
