Man in court on firearm charges
Updated: Sep 17, 2015 11:58 AM
A 26-year-old man charged with possessing an illegal firearm and ammunition was remanded into custody when he appeared in Magistrates' Court this morning.
Lekan Scott, of Warwick, allegedly had a US Army model Colt 45 firearm, as well as five rounds of 0.45 calibre ammunition in his possession in Paget on September 1.
Mr Scott was not required to enter a plea because the charges are indictable and must be heard in Supreme Court.
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo remanded the defendant into custody and adjourned the matter to October 1 for mention.
