Raising autism awareness
Tomorrow's Voices Autism Centre is this weekend setting out to raise awareness about autism though a “Bounce for Autism” fun day.
The event is scheduled to take place this afternoon at the Southampton Rangers Sports Club.
It will include bouncy castles, bouncy races, dance competitions, stalls and entertainment, all to raise awareness of autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities and raising funds for the group's services.
A spokeswoman said: “All proceeds benefit the Tomorrow's Voices Autism Centre and the families it supports.
“The day was designed to help Tomorrow's Voices raise awareness of Autism while celebrating those young people and adults who live successfully with the disorders every day.
“The event helps to raise funds for Tomorrow's Voices' much needed Centre and services, as well as broaden awareness of the autism spectrum and other developmental challenges that are increasingly affecting families in Bermuda.”
Admission is $10 for adults and children over the age of two, and festivities will run from 2pm until 8pm.
