Trash collection for the East End will not take place today, due to mechanical problems with garbage trucks, the Ministry of Public Works has advised.

Collection for the East End is set for Wednesday and Friday, while collection for the West End will take place today and Thursday.

If possible, the public are asked to bring their garbage to the Tynes Bay Public Drop-Off for disposal from 9am to 6pm. The Ministry has apologised for the inconvenience.
