Minister of Public Works Craig Cannonier shot some hoops earlier today at the new Chaplin Bay basketball half-court.

The sporting area, which was installed in September, is located in the upper car park and replaces a previous court which had fallen into a state of disrepair.

“This is another effort by the Department of Parks to enhance our outdoor spaces and enrich our community,” said Mr Cannonier.

Director of Parks Lisa-Dawn Johnston added: “We invite the public to enjoy the half-court with their family and friends. We find that it’s very popular not only for campers, but also for people who come to the park to exercise.”
