Rider left scene of Paget crash

Police responded to a two-vehicle collision in Paget yesterday, but one of the drivers had already left the area.

According to a police spokesman, shortly before 6pm officers attended the junction of Trimingham Road and Trimingham Hill after reports of a crash involving a motorcycle and a car.

However when the officers arrived, the rider of the motorcycle had left the scene on foot.

“Both the car and motorcycle involved were damaged,” the spokesman said. “The female driver of the car was not injured. However, due to the rider leaving the scene prior to police arrival, the extent of their injury is unknown.”

Anyone with information about the crash is urged to contact the Hamilton Police Station at 247-1704.
