Man in hospital after road crash

A man has been taken to hospital after two motorcycles crashed at Dock Hill, Devonshire, this evening.

A 36-year-old man was driving from Dock Hill on to North Shore towards the Devonshire Dock when he collided with another vehicle on North Shore.

The other rider suffered facial injuries but his condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

Police and medical staff are on the scene.

Sergeant Dorian Astwood, of the Bermuda Police Service’s Roads Policing Unit, urged the public to take extra care on the roads over the festive period.

“At this time of year we would like to remind the public to be extra cautious,” he said. “We ask that the public utilise a designated driver or the public transport system when travelling to and from their Christmas parties.”
