A vintage poster advertising early air travel to Bermuda will go on sale at an auction in New York next month.

The poster, by Mark Von Arenburg, is expected to fetch between $1,200 and $1,800 at the Swann Auction Galleries event on August 3.

It will be among 600 lots featuring posters from all around the world and from every era of the “vintage age”.

According to Swann Galleries, little is known about the artist responsible for the Bermuda image but his series of Flying Clipper designs for travel posters are “among the more iconic on the market from the early days of commercial flight”.

Other items for sale will include rare posters by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec from his Fin de Siècle period.
