Motorcyclist, 23, dies from injuries

A 23-year-old motorcyclist has died as a result of injuries sustained in a road accident last week.

Travis Lowe had been in the intensive care unit of the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital since the crash at the junction of Horseshoe Bay Road and Palm Valley, Southampton, at 3.25pm last Tuesday.

Police say his death was certified shortly before 10.30pm yesterday, and a family liaison officer has been assigned to the family to help them cope in these trying and difficult times.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call Acting Inspector Jason Smith of the Serious Crime Unit on 295-0011 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.

It is the ninth road death in Bermuda this year.
