The annual Bermuda Dog Shows are set to take place next month at Somersfield Academy.

Bermuda Kennel Club has announced that the competitions will be held on October 22 and 23, with two shows on each day. A spokeswoman for the organisation said: “These shows welcome dogs, handlers and owners from Canada and the United States to compete with their Bermuda counterparts. To enter, dogs must be registered or registrable with the Bermuda Kennel Club. These all breed shows have been nominated as qualifiers for Crufts 2017.”

In order to qualify, the dogs from the shows must win the All Group Winners, Best Puppy in Show and Best Veteran in Show classes. Entries for the competition close on September 23, and the registration form is available on the Bermuda Kennel Club website, www.show.bkc.bm.
