Two hurt in South Shore crash

Two men suffered leg injuries when their motorcycles collided this morning, according to police.

The incident happened in the area of South Shore Road, near the junction with Tribe Road No 5, Paget, at about 8.30am.

“Details remain unclear at this time,” the spokesman said, “However, it appears that a motorcycle and an auxiliary cycle being ridden in opposite directions along South Road between Elbow Beach and Coral Beach collided.

“The rider of the motorcycle, a 43-year-old Sandys man, apparently received a serious leg injury while his pillion passenger, a 37-year-old Warwick woman, was not injured.

“The auxiliary cycle rider, a 48-year-old Sandys man, was also said to have sustained a serious leg injury.”

The collision also reportedly caused traffic diversions and delays during in morning traffic as officers processed the scene of the crash.
