The Lions Clubs of Bermuda and the MarketPlace Stores are again joining forces to help families this Christmas.

The club and the store today launched their 28th annual Share the Christmas Spirit campaign to provide Christmas hampers for needy families and seniors.

Dessaline Waldron, chairwoman for the Lions Clubs of Bermuda, said: “Over the past years, with the help of the Bermuda community and donations received, thousands of families and seniors have benefited from receiving our Christmas hampers.

“When we share what we have, remember we are helping someone who is in need. Let’s continue to take care of each other.”

Pacheco Farms have already pledged their support for the initiative and will be donating fresh vegetables for the hampers. Meanwhile, other members of the public are being asked to assist by donating non-perishable food items, placing them in marked decorative bins located at all MarketPlace stores.
