A ceremony marking David Burt’s election as Opposition Leader took place at Government House this morning.

Acting Governor Ginny Ferson signed an instrument of appointment marking Mr Burt’s official new role.

Mr Burt, who was voted in as leader of the Progressive Labour Party on Monday evening, attended with his wife and two children.

He replaces Marc Bean, who retired from politics last week.
