The Hamilton Princess will host a special children’s tea and buffet next weekend to recognise Universal Children’s Day — and support the Family Centre.

The Kid’s Afternoon Tea buffet at Crown & Anchor will offer children glazed fairy land doughnuts, marshmallow faces, smarties, rainbow lollipops, assorted marshmallows and ice cream among other treats at a cost of $28 plus gratuitites, with a part of the proceeds going towards the charity.

Martha Dismont, executive director of the Family Centre, thanked the hotel for the event, saying: “It’s humbling that proceeds from the Universal Children’s Day Kid’s Afternoon Tea will help us to carry out the work we do in support of children and families around the island.”

Meanwhile, Allan Federer, general manager at the Hamilton Princess and Beach Club, said: “Universal Children’s Day was established to promote mutual exchange and understanding among children around the world.

“We hope the community will bring their kids to help them understand the importance of this day and to support one of Bermuda’s important charities, Family Centre, devoted to helping children in our community.”

The event will take place on Sunday, November 20, from 3pm to 6pm. Adults accompanying children can order Afternoon Tea for $48, plus gratuities.
