Devonshire resident Shannon Wolffe and his mother Marion are heading for the trip of a lifetime.

Mr Wolffe has been declared the winner of Digicel d’Music Las Vegas competition and later this week will fly to the gambling capital where they will receive VIP treatment including a stay in a five-star hotel, a limousine to the Latin Grammy Awards and access to the after-party.

“This was so unexpected. Digicel told me I had won a runners-up prize and when I went into their store to collect it they surprised me with the trip to Las Vegas,” said Shannon.

“I couldn’t believe it and my first thought was “well I got to take Ma!” I am such a lover of Spanish music so winning this competition seems tailored to exactly what I love.

“I have always said I never win anything, so to win this trip with d’Music is amazing and a big thanks to Digicel.”

“I thought Shannon was joking when he told me,” said Ms Wolffe. “I was in Las Vegas a long time ago and always wanted to go back so this is great. I hope he enters more competitions from now on!”
